While EthnicEats is already kind of a tour of the world’s cuisines (the tagline is “Sampling the World’s Cuisines Without Leaving Vancouver” after all), I’ve decided to start a new project for dining in 2010. Instead of of traipsing around Vancouver’s culinary delights in the random way I have been for the last few years, I am going to take you on a world tour through the city, country by country.
First stop on the grand tour is the Americas (North, Central and South), followed by Africa.
Here’s the itinerary:
Americas – North, South and Central – and Caribbean
- (French) Canadian: Frenchies
- American: Modern Burger
- American round2: Memphis Blues
- Tex-Mex: Topanga Cafe
- Mexico: La Taqueria
- Mexico round2: Las Tortas
- El Salvador: El Rinconcito
- Central America: El Caracol
- Peru/Colombia: El Inka Latin Deli
- South America: Cobre
- Peru: Mochikas Peruvian Cafe
- Brazil: Samba
- Jamaican: Jamaican Pizza Jerk
- Jamaican: Calabash
Africa:
- South Africa: African Breese Biltong
- Ethiopia: Fassil Ethiopian
- Tunisia: Carthage Cafe
- East African: Simba’s African Grill
