I keep a running list of interesting restaurants that I need to check out on backpackit.com:
Some of them I’ve visited but not reviewed, others I’ve only just heard of. If you have a suggestion for somewhere I should try, leave me a comment.
Buon appetito!

Hey Degan,
You should try Ethiopian food.
There is Harambee Cafe on commercial, this is a good one. Then there is Fassil on East Broadway. Nyala is the 3rd one, although I am not a big fan of Nyala as the taste was not that great and the service was so-so.
Try these out if you can handle spicy food.
Enjoy!

hey shelina! have a look around. I love Ethiopian food and I’ve been to both Harambe and Fassil. We’re going to the Red Sea Cafe on the 10th if you would like to come with.
Hey Degan, you and I have a few mutual friends – Karen H and Carlo S:) You should check out La faux bourgeois (french) @ Fraser/15th and La Quercia (Italian) @ 4th/Alma.
I went to Red Sea Cafe and ordered some Ethiopian food. The waiter came to the table, threw a large bag of rice in the air and it hit the table and exploded. He called it ‘Air Drop Rice’. No too funny in my opinion. Red Sea Cafe is not good. . .
I have tried Nyla, I was very dissapointed in teh portion size. My friend and I ordered a curry of sorts and all we got For 14$ was a bit of meat (i mean about 1 oz) and a leg bone and broth. what a rip. the taste was very good but they really need to up the portion size or reduced the price by well almost half. I have been to harambee and well if you order the platter for one it is enough for a light lunch but you will have or order more ingira to feel full. If you order for two you almost get teh same amount…hum one of the world poorest foods and the prices are to high. I think that they were trying to refinance ethopia on just my meal alone…just my thoughts
