Good pick on Song Huong for the BBH. After Pho, BBH is my second most favourite soup noodle. For Pho, none of the places that I've tried meets my mother's homemade Pho. But all kids say that about their mother's cooking.

Anyway, an update on Song Huong. They know only have one restaurant on Nanaimo, and it's the one across from 7-11 on 1st ave. If you have time, make sure to check the 3 or 7-course beef meal. It's just 7 different ways they cook the beef. Our family just goes for the 3.

I just found your blog and saw this entry. Really nice, I must vote for it. Looking forward for future entries from you!

Great pics Degan.
Each and everytime I read your blog I am excited to return to Vancouver and try these places.
I have some friends who go to the Vietnamese restaurant on Main. I will tell them about this one as it is a little closer to home for them.

For the simplicity and always satisfying taste, you can't go wrong with pho - be it for breakfast, lunch or even a late night meal. This is a great rundown of several joints in Vancouver, and since I've only been to one of them, it's peaked my interest in trying out the others based on your notes and images. Thanks for sharing!
